Krystee Spencer
Bio
Krystee brings more than 18 years of experience and over $284 million in completed residential design projects to her role as Principal of Better Construction Co. Her work is defined by a disciplined, construction-informed approach that prioritizes buildability, durability, and cost accountability across the full housing lifecycle. Her professional background includes 26 seasons of television across seven networks, culminating in a Daytime Emmy Award. Television work sharpened her focus on price control, functionality, and delivery under fixed budgets and accelerated timelines. In parallel, private client projects provide the creative freedom to test new products, manufacturing methods, and craftsmanship—insights that ultimately strengthen scalable housing solutions. Raised around builders and working for her uncles during college, Krystee developed a practical understanding of construction sequencing, labor realities, material performance, and cost control. This foundation ensures designs are not only visually sound, but practical to build, maintain, and scale. Splitting her time between Atlanta, Georgia, and Mentone, Alabama, Krystee grounded her work in both urban and rural housing contexts. Her experience supports housing initiatives that balance regulatory compliance, budget discipline, and resident livability while remaining adaptable to local climate, site conditions, and community needs.
